Laboratory Blood Bank Supervisor Job in Bradenton 34208, Florida US
Provides professional, competent, safe, appropriate direct patient care in the analysis of samples from patients age newborn and older; management of all documentation related to testing and resulting, management of communication between the Laboratory and ancillary and off campus sites, both verbal and hardcopy documents.
Manages all aspects of section or shift including but not limited to staffing, CAP/Joint Commission/CMS compliance, Policies and Procedures devolvement and implementation, and instrumentation.
Maintains a professional, cooperative interaction with all hospital departments, medical staff, and the public in keeping with the mission and philosophy of Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Florida State licensure as a Medical Technologist (Supervisor preferred) under the provisions of Chapter 483.
Licensure in the specialties of ITransfusion, mmunohematology, Microbiology, Serology/Immunology, Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Cytology and/or Histology based on areas supervised.
This position supervises the Blood Bank.
ASCP certification is preferred.
BS Degree in Medical Technology preferred Laboratory Supervisor or Medical Technologist for a minimum of the last 3 years.
